I criteri che hanno guidato il lavoro di revisione di questa Bibbia sono:

1) la maggiore fedeltà possibile ai testi, nell’originale greco per il Nuovo Testamento e nell’ebraico per l’Antico Testamento;
2) chiarezza e correttezza della lingua italiana, nella quale si è cercato di evitare termini arcaici, difficili, ambigui e oscuri.

In appendice un glossario in cui sono raccolti chiarimenti e spiegazioni di alcuni termini che nel testo sono contrassegnati con un asterisco. Inoltre, per facilitare il controllo di passi paralleli, si è ritenuto di mettere i vari riferimenti subito dopo il versetto.

New Diodati Bible

The criteria that guided the revision of this Bible are:

1) the greatest possible fidelity to the texts, in the original Greek for the New Testament and in Hebrew for the Old Testament;

2) clarity and accuracy of the Italian language, in which we attempted to avoid archaic, difficult, ambiguous, and obscure terms.

The appendix contains a glossary containing clarifications and explanations of some terms marked with an asterisk in the text. Furthermore, to facilitate checking parallel passages, the various references were placed immediately after the verse.
