성경만이 우리의 신학과 사고와 행동의 유일무이한 기준이다. 그러기에 우 리는 “개혁교회는 항상 개혁되어야 한다.”는 신조에 따라 성경에 비추어 우 리의 언약신학과 교리를 계속해서 발전시켜 나가야 한다.

하나님이 사람과 언약을 세우신 것은 매우 중요한 일이다. 하나님은 언약을 통해 사람에게 하나님의 뜻을 알려 주셨다. 하나님은 언약의 특유한 통치 방법으로 사람과 언약을 세우시고 언약을 승낙하셨다. 하나님은 언약의 집 행자이시며, 수호자이시다.

따라서 이 언약을 세우신 것은 구속역사에서 매우 중요한 일이다. 하나님이 전 인류와 세우신 이 언약의 유효기간은 만물을 폐하시는 그날까지 존속한 다. 사실 언약은 하나님과 인간과의 관계성에 담긴 특징을 드러내는 개념으 로 하나님이 특수하게 사용하신 신실한 헤세드 heesead (출 34:6) 사랑이다.

The Bible is the sole standard of our theology, thought, and action. Therefore, we must continue to develop our covenant theology and doctrine in light of Scripture, in accordance with the creed, “The Reformed Church must always be reformed.”

It is very important that God has established a covenant with man. God made his will known to man through covenant. God established a covenant with man and accepted the covenant with a distinctive method of governance. God is the covenant administrator and guardian.

Therefore, the establishment of this covenant is a very important event in redemptive history. The validity of this covenant that God has established with all mankind will endure until the day when He destroys all things. In fact, covenant is a concept that characterizes God’s relationship with human beings, and God’s special use of it is faithful hesed (Exodus 34:6) love.
